2. Description of Service & Pure Client-Side Architecture

TelecomCalculators is an independent computational repository and educational platform designed to provide interactive engineering calculators, algorithmic models, dimensional unit converters, and standardized technical reference tables. Our computational coverage encompasses five core infrastructure domains:

• Optical Transport & WDM: Optical power loss budgets, DWDM/CWDM spectral grids (ITU-T G.694.1/2), chromatic and polarization mode dispersion, and EDFA optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR).
• 5G NR & Cellular RAN: Physical Resource Block (PRB) channel allocations (3GPP TS 38.101), CQI-to-MCS spectral efficiency mapping, frame timing alignments, and gNodeB baseband capacity.
• RF, Microwave & Satellite Propagation: Free Space Path Loss (FSPL), Friis transmission link budgets, Fresnel zone clearance, Earth curvature obstruction, and antenna EIRP/thermal noise.
• IP Networking & Data Center Facilities: Subnetting / VLSM, serialization and packet propagation delay, TCP window throughput, MTU/MSS framing overheads, and ASHRAE TC 9.9 thermal and electrical branch circuit sizing.
• Teletraffic & Voice Engineering: Classical Erlang B, Erlang C call center queuing delay, Extended Erlang B trunk dimensioning, Engset finite source models, and SIP codec bandwidth aggregation.

3. Professional Engineering, Field Survey & Life-Safety Disclaimers

The tools, calculators, models, and reference data provided on TelecomCalculators are engineered to provide theoretical baselines and preliminary planning approximations. They are not intended as a substitute for certified professional engineering services.

Theoretical Scope & Estimation Nature

All computational algorithms are derived strictly from published industry standards (including specifications codified by the ITU-R, ITU-T, 3GPP, IEEE, IETF, TIA, and ASHRAE). However, mathematical models necessarily make simplifying assumptions regarding real-world physical propagation mediums:

• RF & Microwave Disclaimers: Free space path loss and Fresnel models assume idealized atmospheric refraction ($k = 4/3$), standard atmospheric gas absorption, and homogeneous terrain. Real-world radio links are subject to unpredictable ducting, deep multipath fading, seasonal foliage growth, heavy rain attenuation (ITU-R P.838), knife-edge diffraction, and uncharacterized co-channel RF interference.
• Fiber Optic Disclaimers: Optical loss budget calculators utilize standard nominal attenuation constants (e.g., 0.20 dB/km at 1550 nm for G.652.D fiber). Real installations may experience localized macro-bending, micro-bending losses, dirty optical connector end-faces, mechanical splice variances, and cable strain exceeding theoretical limits.
• Teletraffic & Queuing Disclaimers: Erlang B and C models assume stationary Poisson arrival distributions and negative exponential service times. Real carrier voice and packet traffic frequently exhibits burstiness, non-Poisson peaked arrivals, batch call arrivals, and customer abandonment dynamics that deviate from idealized mathematical models.
• Data Center Facility Disclaimers: Power, heat dissipation, and circuit ampacity formulas utilize nominal power factor and standard thermodynamic conversions ($1 ext{ kW} = 3,412.142 ext{ BTU/hr}$). Real white space thermal conditions depend on complex Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), hot/cold aisle containment integrity, bypass airflow, and rack static pressure differences.

4. Intellectual Property Rights & Permitted Use

Ownership of Proprietary Platform Assets

All user interface designs, visual layouts, typography systems, vector graphics, logos, color schemes, explanatory editorial content, documentation, source code structuring, and original client-side JavaScript implementations on TelecomCalculators are the proprietary intellectual property of TelecomCalculators (or its licensors) and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and trade dress legislation.
